Bolstering student entrepreneurs at Rice University
We are Rice University’s student-led startup accelerator and entrepreneurship organization.
What We Do
We run an accelerator program in the spring. The purpose of our program is to identify, encourage, and collaborate with founders at Rice to equip them with mentors and community while starting their ventures. Our program is completely free - all we expect is passion, grit, and a willingness to learn.
In Spring 2021, we launched an entirely new program structure where four startup teams interacted with 30+ college founder mentors over the course of eight weeks. Under the guidance of these mentors (who have raised 96M+ in capital), all competing teams became finalists in the Napier Rice Launch Challenge (NRLC). These teams went on to win over $50,000 in NRLC. In Fall 2020, we spearheaded the Rice Ventures Discovery Program for new entrepreneurs where a cohort of 14 students engaged in 10 weeks of mentor-led workshops. Prior to the Rice Ventures Discovery Program, we connected two cohorts of founders with team members through our Startup Pitches events.
